David and I woke early to skate Payson–almost too early. It was cold and my joints were stiff.
Still, we got back into the big bowl and had some good runs. Hit the 50-50s on the shallow a few times, no problem-o.

I skated Payson this morning after a nice picnic breakfast with the family. Because of my calf and the hot morning sun I only spent about half an hour, and then just carving the bowl.
I drove out to Payson today only to find that the graffiti had been sandblasted off, leaving a thick film of sand all over the bowl. Not safe. And, of course, the surface of the bowl was hash where the graffiti had been, which didn’t affect me today, but certainly doesn’t bode well for future weathering.
Thank you, City of Payson.
Rose early to skate Payson for an hour. Aside from a few rail slides, I stuck to the bowl, working on feeling the carve and some early grab bs airs, which stank.
I need to give the Payson Parks dept a call and ask them to remove the stupid parking curbs that the local kids have dragged in–they’re leaving bits of cement and gravel all over the park and endangering the skaters.
