I stopped by Cik skatepark in Ogden on the way home from Logan tonight for a loner session, trying to get a better feel for the half pipe and launch ramps. I found, again, that keeping my feet perpendicular to the board helps me keep my shoulders straight, and keeping my shoulders straight straightens my landings. Still can’t grab firmly enough to get a method air, but I am landing more than half of my launches. On one big ollie off the launch I tried a north, and though my front foot kicked off nicely, my board slammed back into my shin, leaving a humdinger of a welt. Ah, the pleasure of pain.
